Service Description
Join Claudia and learn how to make this excellent carry-all bag with your favorite fabric squares! Large enough to carry everything! Please bring the following: Pattern with interfacing, available at Stitched in Schertz A small iron, a pressing mat and a Teflon sheet or some Parchment Paper (we will do a lot of pressing, having your own pressing station is very helpful) Tube Turner for the handles Scissors and snips Seam-ripper (just in case) Stiletto Clips or pins Ruler Rotary cutter REQUIRED HOMEWORK: Please have your squares cut before class, you need 192 - 2.5” squares or 48 x 5” squares. Cut lining into 3 sections of 8 1/2” x 24 1/2” and 1 section of 8 1/2” x 35” (This is approximate and we will trim to adjust to the gridded panels) Cut your Quiltsmart Interfacing into 4 printed sections and handles, as instructed on the interfacing. Cut fusible fleece/Soft and Stable into 2 pieces of 2 1/2” by 26” for the handles and 4 pieces of 8 1/3” x 24 1/2” for the bag body. You can use fusible fleece or Soft & Stable for this bag, I used Soft & Stable for more stability.
